Juris Doctor
Juris Doctor(JD)一般可翻译为法律博士或职业法律博士，在澳洲属于授课型硕士学位，不是指学位上的博士（PHD）。大部分提供JD专业大学，不要求同学们有法律或者相对应的本科学术专业背景! 课程长度通常为3年。
如果同学有相关的学术背景，在中国取得法学本科或法律硕士学位的同学，可以申请学分置换来减免学习的总时长和科目数量，以悉尼大学 (USYD)和新南威尔士大学 (UNSW)的JD项目为例，悉尼大学的JD项目为3年， 总学分为144 credit，同学们最多可以获得48个学分Credit 减免（6-7门课），新南威尔士大学的3年JD项目，总学分为144 credit， 最多可减36学分 (6门课)，减免学分后，学生最快可以2年完成学业。
如果没有学术背景或者没有获得学分减免的同学们但又想在较短的时间内完成学习，也可以考虑位于黄金海岸的邦德大学所提供的2年制的Juris Doctor(JD)课程
学生读完澳洲大学提供的Juris Doctor课程，取得学位后，还需要完成法律实践类培训Practical Legal Training (PLT)。
PLT一般分为两部分，上课和实习。
第一，读完认证JD学位；
第二，读律师职业培训（Practical Legal Training，简称PLT）。
*只要是认证课程，工作经验、雅思成绩要求等全部都不要，甚至不需要律师资格考试！
SLAA职业评估
PLT课程学制为3-4个月，学生可以选择oncampus或online学习。此外，学生还需要完成75天的法律实习。学生完成以上全部要求，即可被职业评估机构SLAA (State Legal Admission Authorities)评估为Solicitor澳洲事务律师 (ANZSCO 271311)。

- 申请的时候就需要提供7学期成绩单（4年制本科）以及符合直录要求的雅思/托福/PTE成绩。
